ESR paid 9to5Mac to review two iPad accessories: the Shift Keyboard Case and the Geo Digital Pencil. The Shift Case adds a detachable Bluetooth keyboard, large trackpad, and multi-angle stand to turn an iPad into a laptop-style workstation. The Geo Digital Pencil positions itself as a budget alternative to Apple's own stylus.
The case targets users who multitask heavily or want a more structured typing setup without committing to a MacBook. The pencil targets anyone put off by Apple Pencil pricing. Neither product is Apple-made, which means compatibility limitations and quality tradeoffs are worth scrutinizing closely.
This is a sponsored segment, so read the full piece for the fine print: actual latency numbers on the pencil, tilt sensitivity, and whether the keyboard's Bluetooth connection holds up under real workloads. The gap between a polished demo and daily use is exactly where these products tend to disappoint or surprise.
