The short version

Context Window does not require an account and does not sell your data. We use analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve the experience.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) with Google Consent Mode v2. By default, GA4 runs in cookieless mode — it sends anonymous, aggregated pings to Google but does not set any cookies or store identifiers on your device.

When you visit the site for the first time, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the page. If you click Accept, GA4 will set cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish unique visitors and collect usage data including pages visited, time on site, approximate location (country/city level), device type, and referral source. If you click Decline, GA4 remains in cookieless mode and no tracking cookies are set. Your choice is saved in your browser so the banner does not reappear.

Google may process analytics data on servers in the United States. You can learn more in Google's privacy policy or opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We also use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that collects aggregated, anonymous usage data without cookies. You can learn more in Vercel's privacy policy.

Email subscriptions

If you subscribe with your email address, we store it in our own database along with the date and the page you signed up from. We use it only to send you The Context Window's emails — a welcome note and, once it launches, the Daily Token (our daily AI brief). We never sell or share the list. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, which immediately stops all future sends. Transactional email is delivered via Resend.
