Framer has shipped native shader support directly inside its web design tool, bringing GPU-accelerated visual effects, including animated gradients, image filters, and particle systems, into a drag-and-drop workflow.

Each shader is a standalone, customizable component accessible from the Insert Panel. They run on the web without performance penalties, which has historically been the barrier that kept shader-quality visuals out of no-code and design tooling.

The full update page at framer.com/updates/shaders is worth visiting to see the actual parameter ranges, rendering behavior, and how shaders compose with existing Framer layers. More shaders are confirmed to be in development.
