Snapseed Camera on Android now writes location metadata to photos and lets users save the original unedited image alongside any edits.
Both features close real gaps for serious mobile photographers: geotags enable proper photo library organization and GPS-based sorting, while original-save protection means destructive edits no longer mean permanent loss of the source file.
The update is narrow in scope but the implementation details, specifically how location data is stored in EXIF and whether originals are saved to a separate directory or bundled with the edit stack, are worth checking in the full piece.
