Oeuf, the new physics platformer from Increpare Games, the Guinness World Record holder for most prolific independent game developer, is built around a single mechanical conceit: how an egg moves.

The game renders its world in crunchy, early-90s 3D reminiscent of Ultima and Might and Magic, a deliberate aesthetic choice that sits in stark contrast to the same release window as Resident Evil Requiem. It asks nothing of you narratively. It asks everything of you physically, as you roll, slide, and hop an egg-shaped object across increasingly punishing terrain.

The full review gets into why that minimalism is harder to execute than it sounds, and whether Increpare pulls it off. Worth reading for the breakdown of how the physics actually behave under pressure.
