Amazon OpenSearch Serverless is now in the Vercel Marketplace, with in-dashboard provisioning, automatic environment variable injection, and unified resource management. Vercel was a key design partner with AWS on the next-generation OpenSearch Serverless APIs, not just a distributor bolting on an integration after the fact.

The technical case is specific: a single collection handles vector, lexical, hybrid, and agentic search. It autoscales up to 20 times faster than standard configurations, scales to zero with no idle costs, and cuts bills by up to 60 percent by charging for actual usage instead of peak capacity. Those numbers matter for agentic workloads, which are bursty and hard to provision for in advance.

New AWS accounts created through Vercel receive $100 in credits. Existing AWS accounts link instantly. The full changelog explains the design partnership with AWS and how the API generation informed the integration architecture, which is worth reading if you are building anything search-dependent on Vercel today.
