Smashing Magazine has published its December 2025 desktop wallpaper collection, continuing a series that has run for over 14 years. Designs ship in resolutions from 320x480 up to 2560x1440, with calendar and no-calendar variants for each. Every wallpaper is available as a direct PNG download.
The collection is built entirely on unsolicited submissions from independent artists and designers worldwide. Smashing imposes no theme constraints. What results is a set of conceptually unrelated works, each reflecting the artist's own framing of December. The standout so far: 'Zero-Gravity December' by Serbia-based Ginger It Solutions, depicting an astronaut decorating a Christmas tree in orbit, free from the weight of New Year's resolutions.
